NASARAWA STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, KEFFI 2022/2023 PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION: COMPUTER BASED TEST (CBT)

By Mohammed Isah Attah

After the successful introduction of CBT (Computer Based Test) for the 2022/2023 Academic Session. The College resolved to extend the Computer-Based Test (CBT) exams to preliminary (assessment exams) for the first Semester of 2022/2023 students. The exam started on November 21, 2022 and expected to end on December 17, 2022. It is currently going on smoothly as majority of the students enjoy the exercise. Mr. Emmanuel Timshana, Director of Academic Planning, said the new system was seen as a long-standing solution to many of the setbacks and challenges associated with extremely demanding exams, and offered greater transparency compared to previous methods provided, as the result of each student performance is immediately known after the exercise

. The CBT technology is one of many other developments made by the Management of the College headed by the Provost, Dr. Suleiman Abdullahi Muhammad. The College recently introduced four new courses that enrich our primary health care system lending support to secondary and tertiary health care system respectively.

The Provost stated that these courses are absent in the provision of health care services at the peripheral level. The courses attract a lot of students’ patronage with the view that the existing gaps in the state health service will be bridged in no distant time, thereby reducing the incidence rate of diseases recorded due to the absence of these professionals.
